One reason that talking was non-negotiable is that the inability/unwillingness to actually speak to others in the real world is the primary symptom of the exact problem my work is intended to address.

The problem is that our entire centralized power social structure was designed to create such authority from the beginning, yet nobody anywhere is even remotely intelligent enough to actually accomplish such a thing. There was great hope placed upon AI to solve this problem for us, but that has just revealed even greater errors in how our ancestors conceptualized the world, and we who live within it. The entrenched power structures which define and protect this artificial human world ARE falling. Our task is to mitigate as much suffering as possible, and protect as much good as possible, while that happens.
The emerald tablet, the foundation of western mysticism, speaks of the "Halls of Knowledge" which contain all of the knowledge ever created by humanity, and accessible to anyone by degrees proportional to their spiritual attunement. Every time we endure this ordeal, we learn more about what is happening and how to confront it, and we make it a little bit farther. Eventually the dam will break and we will enter into an even greater cycle, which will repeat in a similar manner.
