Ben Stiller and Jewish Rites vs Rights
Jewish activists often say that "abortion is a right." It is, in their own words that abortion is one of the most important "rights"in the Jewish faith. Ben Stiller is especially supportive of Amendment 4 - a Florida leftwing ballot initiative that would allow a drill to a baby's skull seconds before crowning. According to Jewish activist, Ben Stiller, "Abortion is the most important Jewish right after circumcision and a bar mitzvah."
These are his spoken words.
That got me thinking. Maybe we Christians have been misinterpreting the message. We are probably wrong. It is not a Jewish "right." If so, he would not include circumcision and a bar mitzvah. Those are "rites" - as in, religious rituals - not rights, i.e., inalienable privileges of the human condition.
Ben Stiller let it be known that the murder of pre-born infants is a Jewish ritual - i.e., rite - not a Jewish right, per se. If we take Stiller's word for it, Jewish people seek the murder of unborn babies. It is a religious requirement.
All this time, we may have thought Jewish activists meant that abortion was a "right." In fact, it was never perceived as a "right" by them. It was perceived as a "rite" - a religiously enshrined obligation to kill babies.
