Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has sent over $1.4 million to Loren Merchan, according to investigative reporter Laura Loomer. Merchan is the daughter of the judge overseeing Democratic District Attorney (DA) Alvin Bragg’s election interference prosecution of Donald Trump in Manhattan, Juan Merchan.

 

“Hakeem Jefferies is a client of Judge Merchan’s daughter, Loren Merchan, and has sent her over $1,428,879.99 in payments to her PERSONAL RESIDENCE!” Loomer posted on X

 

Why is Hakeem Jeffries sending nearly $1.5 MILLION to Judge Merchan’s daughter’s personal house in Richmond, Virginia, when her father is overseeing Trump’s trial in NYC?” she asked, noting the “address on [Jeffries’s] Schedule B FEC form is the same address as Loren Merchan’s home address where she lives with her husband Taylor Harper, who works for [Joe Biden’s U.S. Census Bureau].”

 

Loomer noted Loren Merchan does “digital consulting and digital fundraising” for Jeffries, speculating this “means she likely tweets for him.”

 

Chinese Communist Party-linked Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill is another client of Merchan’s Authentic Campaigns firm, with Loomer observing both she and Jeffries posted similar anti-Trump messages ahead of the former president’s successful rally in the Bronx on Thursday.

 

Loren Merhcan has extensive financial links to Democratic lawmakers, prosecutors, and even Joe Biden’s Vice President, Kamala Harris. She is herself an anti-Trump partisan, expressing the hope her father will imprison the former president by sharing images of him behind bars.

 

However, Juan Merchan has refused to recuse himself from Trump’s trial and imposed a gag order banning the America First leader from mentioning his familial links to the Democratic Party.
