"Putin/U1 will come out post summit" - Perhaps Mr. Putin gave Mr. Trump something in exchange for laying off the pipeline saber rattling? Perhaps it was undeniable evidence re U1. He was the buyer, and he also ran all the cut-outs and money laundering aspects of the scheme (at least from the Russian end). A guy like that would have loads of unimpeachable evidence… at least, I'd assume.
