When he came home in '73 then got into political office, he did everything within his power as a US Senator to bury and stop any investigations into remaining POWs in Vietnam. Not only that, but as a Neo-Con, he did everything he could to stoke the flames of war with the USSR, Iran, and any and all other enemies the Mil/Ind Complex paid him to pursue. He was a scumbag of the highest caliber and he deserved, as John Kasich said on National TV, to be put to death.
because majority rule is anarchy. if we were a pure democracy, the cities and states with the greatest population would decide the laws for the rest of the country. And things that are important to folks in NY or LA are vastly different than the things that matter in Iowa and Kansas. But to be a country that is self-sufficient, the things important to farmers are just as important as the things that are important to big businessmen. This is why we use the Electoral College…to give "flyover country" an equal voice as the big cities. Our Union could not survive as a pure democracy. That's why we are a Constitutional/Representative Republic.
