and Ford kid

In a statement last week, Susan Ford Bales, the daughter of former President Gerald Ford, said: โ€œAmerica cannot regress back to a divisive paradigm of loathing toward one another and disdain for our Constitution. We witnessed on January 6 the horrors of what that looks like, and we can never allow a repeat of that tragedy.โ€

Jimmy McCain, son of the late Sen. John McCain, who was the 2008 Republican nominee for president, announced in September he has registered as a Democrat and will vote for Harris.

โ€œIโ€™m a center man who cares about his country more than anything,โ€ McCain said.

And former Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz Cheney, a former Republican congresswoman from Wyoming, have crossed the aisle to back Harris. Liz Cheney has also campaigned with the vice president.

โ€œI tell you, I have never voted for a Democrat, but this year, I am proudly casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris,โ€ Liz Cheney said at a campaign event earlier this month in Ripon, Wisconsin.
