Just a quick comment regarding the Cali fire discussion a couple of breads back. I don't claim to know whether the fires are natural or not but can speak from personal experience about one thing. One anon mentioned and several anons agreed that a forest fire cannot burn so hot as to incinerate an entire home to ashes. My 3000 sq ft home burned in a forest fire on Mt. Rose near Reno, Nevada (Lake Tahoe area) in the early 80's. All that was left was the cement slab and the stone fireplace. Everything else - appliances, furnishings, hvac system was entirely gone. Razed.
