We also tanked the oil prices to sink Venezuela a few yrs back til they couldn't stay liquid and support the Petro-dollar and capitulated. They had no choice but to go socialist (=bad? according to our gov).
Fracking and Tar sands helped bring gas/oil prices down…now we are heading back up.
Offshore drilling companies were going out of business or scrapping rigs like never before..

Oil will always boom/bust…but I don't see why we can't let Russia participate in the global economy. US/China/SA/GB all commit atrocities around the globe and we point the finger at them and single them out for one thing or another.
