Presupposing what you intend to achieve can often blind you to what you are capable of. Are these things directly relevant to your ability to live a good life in your own immediate community?

I don't mean to imply that such matters are unimportant, but I feel as though too many people are attempting to do it all themselves, and missing much of what they actually can do.

Interestingly, I looked into the inquisition a bit more a while ago, and according to a book published on the issue, the Malleus Maleficarum, the actual crime that most were prosecuted for was insisting that witchcraft was possible. It was not that the church actually believed in witches, but rather that they explicitly did not, and so anyone who insisted that you could change one thing into something different through the right combination of words or rituals, was going against God.

Reminded me a lot of the current trans nonsense.

See, this is where online communication breaks down. You're angry with me for not knowing something which I had no possible way of knowing. Both people involved have completely different ideas about the nature and context of the exact same words.

Once again, you're in a completely different world from where I am here, and so communication is breaking down. I would suggest that, in order to get the answers you want to get, it would be important to actually have a stable and cohesive society upon which you and others can build momentum to reach the people you need to reach. I would assert that those responsible are deliberately sabotaging such stability in an attempt to remove any potential for achieving exactly that, and so my own focus on building/maintaining such a state of affairs is actually in line with your goals. Yet you're lashing out at me, as though you expect random strangers online to see the world exactly as you do, and behave exactly as you would.

Absolutely. But part of such conversation is understanding the nature of the information which is presented to you, and of those you are communicating with. Both of those things are extremely difficult to know when communicating exclusively through machines designed, constructed and operated by people you don't know.

The lies about the nature of the machines being used to communicate, are among those which I'm personally most interested in. Frankly I believe that quite a bit of the chaos in recent years could easily be an attempt to prevent discussion over whether or not we should even be accepting such machines as having authority over human communication.

Yes, such are exactly the sorts of questions I would recommend keeping in mind while engaging with information you have no way to verify.

Great! Still keep in mind where information comes from and how it flows through the world. Much of the fuckery is instigated by those who have put enormous amounts of time and energy into understanding such things better than you do.
