South Korean intelligence reveals North Korea has deployed thousands of soldiers to support Russia's Ukraine invasion, with troops earning $2,000 monthly—potentially generating over $200M yearly for Pyongyang.
In return, Russia's shipping 600,000 tons of rice, covering half of NK's annual food shortage.
Former Seoul ambassador Wi Sung-lac says NK's primary motivation isn't just financial—by fighting for Russia now, Pyongyang expects Moscow's military support in any future Korean Peninsula conflict.
Meanwhile, Russia's providing NK with advanced space tech for military satellite launches.
