Trump's talking points had handwritten 'there was no colusion' reminder: PHOTO
President Trump emphasized that “there was no colusion” between his campaign and Moscow during his statement to the media on Tuesday.
Trump voiced this clarification while speaking to reporters outside of the White House, reading from several printed pages that included handwritten notes in black marker, complete with a misspelling of the word collusion.
After reading from the papers, Trump also expressed that “other people” could have been involved in interference in the 2016 election. In prepared remarks Tuesday, Trump backtracked on his previous comments made during the joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki Monday. He claimed he misspoke, explaining that he meant to express that he believed the U.S. intelligence assessment that Russia interfered in the election. However, the president also wanted to make it clear that he did not believe the meddling had any implications on the outcome.
