Jesus is the King of Kings.
Lord God, gracious Heavenly Father: We pray for your sovereign grace and mercy over our country and the world this night. Let your will be done and let it glorify you. Give this country what it needs according to your inerrant goodness. We ask that you convict the hearts of our leaders that they may turn to you in repentance and worship. Whatever the outcome is for our election, Lord bless us and keep us safe from harm and make us vessels to strengthen your kingdom on earth for the glory of your name. We ask all these things in the name of your son and our savior, Christ Jesus, amen.
What is anon trying to prove?
Jesus lived and sinless life, died the death we all deserved and rose from the dead on the third day. He is the sole mediator between God and man, and whoever has a heart that has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and comes to faith in Christ and repentance of their sins may approach the very throne of the Almighty as his adopted children who are one with Christ. It is a privilege we neither earn nor deserve, but is a gift of God to his elect that comes solely from his sovereign grace and mercy. Christ is to be glorified.
