Jean-Pierre: [Biden] and [Harris] are proud to have changed America for the better. That's going to be their focus in the upcoming remaining days…they are going to make every day count on behalf of the American people, regardless of who voted for them.
Jean-Pierre: As of now, the Trump/Vance transition team has not yet entered the agreements [Transition Team Memorandum of Understanding] with the White House and the General Services.
Jean-Pierre: I can tell you things we're gonna focus on in the upcoming seventy-four days. We're gonna make sure we keep the government open. We're gonna deliver assistance to communities devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton, and other recent disasters. We're gonna pass the NDAA; that's important. And we're also going to make sure we confirm well-qualified judicial nominees.
Jean-Pierre: What I can say, is that, and this is something that [Biden] says all the time, you get knocked down, you get back up. And [Biden] said this moments again. This is a defeat, but we are not defeated.
Jean-Pierre: The next administration is going to inherit a strong economy.
Reporter: Does [Biden] believe that he could have beat Donald Trump?
Jean-Pierre: What [Biden] believes is that he did the right thing for the American people. I'm not going to get into, uh, uh, you know, what could of, would of; he believe he did the right thing.
Jean-Pierre: The country spoke. They did. Majority of the country spoke. They were very clear on where they wanted to see the direction of the country. And we're gonna respect that. We are. We're gonna respect that.
Jean-Pierre: The former president. now the president-elect, talked about an enemy within. He talked about mistreating Americans who disagree with him. About terminating the Constitution.
Reporter: To be clear, [Biden] still believes Donald Trump is a threat to democracy?
Jean-Pierre: I think that [Biden] was very clear what he stated, and was very honest…what we are trying to do, is respect what the American people decided. We're not trying to cause any divisions here, we're trying to be very respectful of what the American people; again, when he spoke, he wanted to be honest with the American people, and shared what he believed.
Reporter: Does [Biden] fear for Ukraine's future after Donald Trump's victory, given that he's talked about cutting aid, about pushing through a peace deal?
Jean-Pierre: I don't want to speculate what the administration's gonna do or not do. I'm gonna focus on today. I'm gonna focus on the next seventy-four days. That's what I can speak to.
['push through a peace deal', asks the warmongering press]
Reporter: Donald Trump had classified documents at Mar-a-Lago that he did not secure. Does [Biden] have concerns about classified information being given to Donald Trump in the next seventy-four days as part of the transition, that Donald Trump would not take steps to protect that?
Jean-Pierre: I'm gonna leave it to ODNI to speak to whatever classified information; I'm not going to get into speculation from here.
Reporter: Leading by example is the message to people who are fearful, based on what the messaging was [Biden claiming President Trump is a threat]?
Jean-Pierre: You're just twisting everything around, and that's really unfair. It's unfair, because I've been standing here trying to be very respectful to what happened two nights ago…I do not appreciate having my words twisted.
[suddenly ends press conference; rage quits]
Even Brookings says it's "legally uncertain" if a president can fire him, so that means it's possible for President Trump to get rid of him.
