If God is characteristically IS sinless, pure justice, righteous. That means anyone that disobeys his will has sinned.
Sin is only evil because God is all things Good and sin is going against God. Objective morality stems from what God IS not what God merely says it moral. God does not tell the truth, God IS truth. Does that make sense?
Basically evil exists because God limits his infinite power to allow for the existence of our free will. In doing so, when we disobey his will, we sin. Which as you describe as evil. It's only evil because it is not of God.
