50 Heads of State Meet in Budapest as Hungary’s Orbán Hosts an European Political Community Summit – EU Leaders Terrified About the Economic Impact of US President Trump’s Tariffs

Leaders of 50 countries, mostly European, have flocked to Budapest, Hungary, for the fifth edition of the European Political Community.

The European relations with the United States now that Donald J. Trump is back are at the top of the agenda.

UPI reported:

“With the war in Ukraine and economic security already key items for the summit even before Trump’s historic comeback win in Tuesday’s presidential election, leaders fear Trump’s campaign pledges were more than just rhetoric and his administration will slow or halt military aid to Kyiv, upend NATO and tackle a $64.6 billion EU trade deficit by imposing tariffs of up to 20%.”

European Council President Charles Michel called for a ‘strategic debate on our transatlantic relations’.

“’Our relationship with the United States is essential and we are ready to deepen it. We have to continue delivering on our priorities in line with the Strategic Agenda, working actively towards a strong and sovereign Europe’, [Michel] said in a news release. ‘I would like us in particular to focus on three areas: our bilateral relations; security and geopolitics, not least Ukraine; and global challenges and international cooperation, including climate change’.”

Trump is expected to reboot U.S. domestic fossil fuel production, discard crippling ‘environmental’ rules, tone down support for ‘renewables’, and maybe even pull the United States out of the Paris Climate Agreement again.

“Trump tariffs would hit the $1.08 trillion in annual two-way trade and services between the EU and the United States by making EU goods, mostly machinery, vehicles and chemicals, more expensive in the American market.”

Goldman Sachs projects an American tariff rate of 10% would lop 1% off eurozone GDP. Millions of jobs across the EU would be at risk.

Sources indicate that the heads of five major pharmaceutical companies held an emergency teleconference on Wednesday to address the potential fallout from a Trump administration that has vowed to disrupt Big Pharma’s hold on America.

New Jersey Assemblyman and advisor to Robert Kennedy Jr., Jamel Holley, shared the breaking news on X Wednesday, stating, “Sources tell me top five CEOs of pharmaceutical companies are holding an emergency teleconference at 1 PM. A lawyer has confirmed that everyone is in a state of panic!”

Kennedy’s vision aims to root out corporate influence, restore scientific integrity, and prioritize the health of the American people over Big Pharma profits.

His commitment has stirred palpable anxiety among pharmaceutical executives as they brace for potential regulatory shake-ups and policy shifts under the new administration.

During the Financial Times Global Pharma and Biotech Summit in London on Wednesday, GSK CEO Emma Walmsley addressed the uncertainty surrounding the future of pharmaceutical operations in the U.S., according to Pharmaceutical Technology.

“The US is extremely important to GSK,” Walmsley stated. “We’re a global company, but more than half of the business is in the US, we’re very heavily invested there, with factories in many states. It is by far the most important market to bring our innovation to first.”

However, Walmsley also alluded to the need for collaboration with the incoming administration, cautiously remarking, “Let’s see what happens in terms of who is appointed into what kind of role in the administration.”

Alvin Bragg’s Witch Hunt Backfires: NY Judge Juan Merchan Considers Dropping Garbage Case Against Trump Following Landslide Election Win

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s witch hunt against President Donald Trump may be on the verge of collapse.

Judge Juan Merchan, presiding over the case, is reportedly reconsidering the conviction following Trump’s decisive victory in the recent presidential election.

Back in April 2023, DA Bragg indicted Trump on 34 felony counts related to alleged ‘hush payments’ to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

These charges, which should have been classified as mere misdemeanors, were escalated to felonies in a bid to skirt the statute of limitations—a move that reeks of desperation and manipulation by the Democrat machinery.

Trump was accused of paying porn star Stormy Daniels, AKA Stephanie Clifford, ‘hush payments’ through his then-attorney Michael Cohen, who the media and prosecutors falsely labeled his “fixer,” in a scheme to silence her and stop the story about their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer.

The jury deliberations began on Wednesday after “highly conflicted” Judge Merchan, whose daughter has received MILLIONS of dollars consulting the Democrats who want to take down Trump, instructed them to choose among the three predicate crimes Trump supposedly committed.

In a shocking twist that defies the principles of American jurisprudence, Judge Merchan instructed the jurors that they do not need to reach a unanimous decision on the specific “unlawful means” that Trump is accused of in the case. They just have to sense that he is guilty. This goes against all common law in US history.

Instead, the jury was given the liberty to select from three main options, effectively turning the process into a choose-your-own-adventure game of legal implications.

Violations of federal election law (which no one in that courtroom is familiar with, and the judge specifically prevents Brad Smith from testifying about);

The falsification of business records; and

Tax violations

This, of course, is completely unconstitutional.

President Trump was tried by a jury in a city that voted 87% for Joe Biden. The jury members all admitted to reading The New York Times and watching MSNBC for their news.

The jury returned a verdict in Alvin Bragg’s lawfare ‘hush money’ trial on Thursday: Guilty on all 34 counts!

Judge Merchan salutes the jury. “Merchan to jurors: I really admire your dedication and hard work. You worked very hard and gave this matter the attention it deserves.”

Now, with Trump’s recent electoral triumph, his legal team is pushing for the convictions to be overturned.

They argue that the presidential election results reflect the will of the American people and that Trump, as President-elect, should not be subjected to vindictive legal assault by state actors.

Judge Merchan has until November 12th to make a decision on whether to dismiss the convictions based on arguments of presidential immunity and the broader implications of a recent Supreme Court ruling on the matter.
