Always figured we were named "Generation X" because we were an unknown factor in their plans. Our generation is the one which straddles two different ages in equal measure. We know what the world was like before digitization and mass surveillance, and we know how to actually use computers better than anyone before or after because we grew up along side them. Then when you add into the mix prophecies and historical records regarding the turn of an age, and the cowards in charge went hunting for trouble, obsessed with preventing anyone from interrupting their plans to falsify the world, which they anticipated any good person who understood enough would do. Ironically, such behaviour is always self-defeating, and even the perception of a threat is enough to be a real threat to such bankrupt rulers.
