I was always under the impression that it wasn't the item that was sacrificed, it was the heartfelt desire to please God.

Evil exists.
That cannot be denied.
But the world is not purely evil, so good must exist.
The Evil we call the Devil, the Good we call God.
This is the basis for religions.
God revealed Himself and chose the Israelite lineage to fulfill His promise of a Messiah when Adam & Eve chose Evil (Satan) over Good (God).
The first Israelites were the descendants of Jacob (whom God called Israel).
God kept His promise of a Messiah when Jesus took on the flesh of a human male.
Jews nowadays reject that.
The O.T. Israelites were constantly disappointing and displeasing to God but that did not stop God from keeping His promises.
The Bible is a recorded history, a written record of Promises Made and Promises Kept by God.
If you choose to not believe this, then you are antisemitic.
Do you believe that Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Alexander the Great existed?
If so, why?
Do you believe that Hammurabi existed? why?
Do you believe that the Pharaohs of Egypt existed? why?
He says he has two daughters.
So what. He wants them to be able to whore around and be able to get abortions? Was that his point of bringing up that he has two daughters?
So fucking brainwashed. And he thinks he is enlightened.
Be a shame if his beachfront property got hit by a hurricane.
The funny thing about the O.T is that it doesn't exactly paint the Israelites in a positive light. They were constantly disobeying God and doing really stupid things. Does this sound like the kind of a story that Jews would make up about themselves?
