Dec. 23, 2021 Donald Trump praised the efficacy of the coronavirus vaccines in a new interview just days after being booed by an audience for revealing he received a Covid booster shot.
"The vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind," Trump told conservative commentator Candace Owens in an interview on Wednesday.
"I came up with a vaccine, with three vaccines all are very, very good," he said in the interview, referring to the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson shots.
Trump also said people who are vaccinated aren't the ones becoming seriously ill.
"The ones that get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don't do the vaccine, but it's still their choice," he said.
"And if you take the vaccine you're protected, the results of the vaccine are good."

“I got my booster shot as soon as they were available,” Biden said during a speech from the White House about his administration’s efforts to address the Omicron variant of Covid-19, adding, “and just the other day former President Trump announced he had gotten his booster shot.” “It may be one of the few things he and I agree on,” Biden continued.
Trump told Fox News later on Tuesday that he appreciated Biden’s comments. “I was surprised to hear it,” Trump said. “I think it was a terrific thing, and I think it makes a lot of people happy.”
Trump calls politicians who refuse to say they received Covid boosters 'gutless'
Jan. 12, 2022 Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday criticized politicians who refuse to say whether they’ve received a Covid booster shot.
“They don’t want to say it because they’re gutless,” Trump said.
“You gotta say it, whether you had it or not. Say it. But the fact is that I think the vaccines saved tens of millions throughout the world. I’ve had absolutely no side effects.”
“If they get it, they’re not going to hospitals for the most part and dying,” Trump said. “Before it was a horror, and now they’re not.”
An ad that featured Trump saying he 'would recommend' COVID-19 vaccines resulted in 104,000 more shots in arms: research paper
2022-04-05 A YouTube ad featuring Donald Trump endorsing the COVID-19 vaccines convinced thousands of people to get their shots, according to new research from economists and political scientists published in a National Bureau of Economic Research working paper on Monday. For the study, researchers created a 27 second advertisement that included Trump and his family urging people to get the vaccines.
The ad ran on more than 100,000 YouTube channels in the second half of October, 2021. On the Fox News YouTube channel, it ran before segments with some of the network's most popular hosts, including Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, and Sean Hannity.
Researchers estimate the campaign led to 104,036 more shots being administered, calling the move a "cost-effective" way to increase vaccination rates in the country, at a time when 60% of unvaccinated adults were Republicans.

Jan 16, 2023 Former President Donald Trump has dismissed claims that COVID-19 vaccines are broadly unsafe while asserting that his own role in the development of the vaccines may have saved 100 million lives.
"I was able to get something approved that, you know, that has proven to have saved a lot of lives," Trump said, ignoring Brody's request to weigh in on the anti-vaccine narrative. "Some people say that I saved 100 million lives worldwide."
Trump touted the speed of vaccine development under his program, saying that he was "able to get [the vaccines] done in nine months," as opposed to what he claimed would have been "five years to 12 years."
"But you know, you have many reports that say the vaccines save tens of millions of lives," he continued. "That without the vaccines you would have had a thing…where perhaps 100 million people died."
