(Progress to Unity? Big Shift coming)

Exclusive — Michael Reagan: Trump Not Stepping on My Father’s Legacy, We Need ‘Strong’ Leader to ‘Right the Ship’

It is, indeed, morning in America again, butAmericans “have to stay vigilant,” Michael Reagan, president of the Reagan Legacy Foundation, said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily, explaining that President-elect Donald Trump is not stepping on his father’s legacy. Rather, America — 40 years later — needs a “strong” leader to right the ship, and Trump is that person.

“A couple people called in on this and made this point that it’s morning again in America. Have you thought — I’m sure you have — much about that messaging from your dad, the morning again? And what does that mean, and are we there again?” host Mike Slater asked former President Ronald Reagan’s eldest son.

“Well, it’s morning. We just got to keep it going. Actually wrote in an op-ed piece last week, I said it’s mourning America for the Democrats — m-o-u-r-n-i-n-g — which is exactly what’s going on,” Reagan began.

“But again, we cannot just sit there. Ok, we won and do we don’t do anything else. We have to stay vigilant. We cannot take a breath and say, oh, let’s just relax now, because the left —if you notice, the left is not relaxing. They’re trying to figure out what the heck they could do now to stop everything. So we have to stay vigilant in all the stuff that we do. Yes, it was morning in America, but we got to make it, as Trump said after coining my dad’s phrase, we have to make America great again and make America respected again and what have you,”Reagan said, explaining that he and his wife have traveled the world and have had people ask, “What are you doing in America?”

“We need you America. We need America to be strong. When are you going to elect a strong leader again?” he said, relaying these conversations.

“We just did on Tuesday, and now we have to support him. You know, forget the tweets. Forget all this other stuff that goes on. It’s about leadership, and it’s about moving really moving forward,” he said, explaining that someone asked, “Don’t you feel bad he’s gonna step on all your father’s stuff?”

“I said, ‘Wait a minute. My father was 40 years ago,'”he said, noting that American needed a strong leader 40 years ago to correct America’s course. Now, America needs that again.

“It’s a different time,” Reagan said. “Forty years later, we need a strong leader today to right the ship again. So no, Trump’s not stepping on my father. My father had his time and fixed it. We had to fix it again. And we need another strong leader. And thank goodness for Donald Trump,” he said.

Reagan noted that Trump called him in 2015 and told him that he was thinking about running for president, and Reagan told him he was going to destroy the party. And that he did, Reagan said, adding that Trump “rebuilt it in a new image, with new people.”

“You know, he brought new groups from different areas and made them Republicans and vote Republican. So sometimes you have to break things to fix it. He broke it, to fix it. [He] fixed it the better way, and we won in a big, big way,” he continued. “And as I said, it was equal to what my dad did with 49 states the way he did it.”

Ex-Defense official Kash Patel emerges as a top contender for CIA director

By Diana Glebova Published Nov. 11, 2024, 5:08 p.m. ET

Former Department of Defense official Kash Patel is being considered for several national security posts — including CIA director, a key GOP source told The Post on Monday.

Patel, 44, previously served as a National Security Council official, senior adviser to the acting director of national intelligence and chief of staff to the secretary of defense.

While President-elect Donald Trump has not officially arrived a decision about Patel’s final move, there has been “conversations” between the transition team and the former Trump official — with the majority of the discussions in Trump World being focused on the CIA, according to the source.

If he doesn’t lead the CIA, Patel could head the FBI or become the director of National Intelligence, which the source believes he would also accept.

Patel had been in conversations to be installed as deputy CIA director at the end of Trump’s term, but the head of the agency, Gian Haspel, voiced opposition, threatening to resign, Axios reported at the time.

The Trump transition team has been trying to keep the conversations of who will fill his top Cabinet spots under wraps until the president-elect makes the official announcements himself.

Patel has been rumored to be a possible top pick for months. He was one of the leading Republicans opposing the investigation into Trump and Russian interference in 2016, long opposing government overreach in how its federal agents surveil Republicans.

Patel has written about the need to dismantle the Justice Department and do an overhaul of the intelligence agencies, including the FBI, by firing their “top ranks.

“[T]he FBI has become so thoroughly compromised that it will remain a threat to the people unless drastic measures are taken,” Patel wrote in his book, “Government Gangsters.”

Trump spoke out in favor of Patel’s book during his campaign, calling it a “blueprint” for his next term in the White House in a Truth Social post.

Kamala Harris snubbing Josh Shapiro in favor of Tim Walz for VP backfired with Jewish voters – and may have cost her Pennsylvania: exit poll

By Carl Campanile Published Nov. 11, 2024, 5:15 p.m. ET

Vice President Kamala Harris’ first major campaign decision — selecting Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as her running mate — backfired big-time with Jewish voters, an exit poll exclusively obtained by The Post reveals.

The Harris-Walz ticket won Pennsylvania Jewish voters by seven percentage points, 48%-41%, over the GOP ticket of Donald Trump and JD Vance, according to the survey conducted by the Honan Strategy Group for the Teach Coalition, an affiliate of the Jewish Orthodox Union.

However, 53% of Jewish voters said they would have pulled the lever for the veep if Shapiro was her No. 2, while support for Trump-Vance would have dropped to 38%.

The results suggest that Harris may have come closer or even won in Pennsylvania — which she lost to Trump by 2.1%— or other swing states had she picked the popular Shapiro, who Jewish community leaders claimed at the time was subject to an “ugly, antisemitic campaign” that led to him being passed over for the VP slot.

As it was, defeated Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey ran ahead of Harris-Walz among Jewish voters, according to the survey, with 50% saying they backed the three-term incumbent and 40% supporting Republican Sen.-elect David McCormick.

Harris also failed to break 50% among Jewish voters across New York’s 1st and 4th Congressional Districts on Long Island, as well as the 17th, 18th, 19th and 22nd Districts in the Hudson Valley and upstate— a stunning reversal among what was considered a reliable Democratic constituency.

Across the six districts, both Trump and Republican House candidates received 41% of the Jewish vote while Harris-Walz received 48% — more than half the gap that showed up in a summer poll in which Harris led Trump 56%-37% among Jews in the swing districts.

Had Shapiro been on the ticket, however, Harris would have beaten Trump by 12 — 51%-39% — in the six battlegrounds, the poll indicated.

“In a post Oct. 7 world, the Jewish community’s vote is up for grabs more than ever before,” said Maury Litwack, founder and CEO of the Teach Coalition.

“It’s absolutely an erosion of Jewish voters for the Democratic Party,” he added. “What’s driving this is the Jewish community’s feelings about antisemitism.

“The far-left has made anti-Israel activity a cornerstone. They have sway in the Democratic Party,” explained Litwack. “This is a wake-up call for the Democratic Party in New York.”

The Jewish vote was unevenly distributed in the Empire State.

In the lower Hudson Valley’s17th Congressional District, 55% of Jews said they voted to re-elect freshman Republican Rep. Mike Lawler, while just 31% went for Democrat Mondaire Jones.

In the next-door 18th District, however, 57% of Jewish voters backed Democratic incumbent Rep. Pat Ryan, while only 34% went for Republican challenger Alison Esposito.

About half of New York Jewish voters and 43% of Pennsylvania Jewish voters said the rise in antisemitism had a “significant impact” on their vote, while more than 80% across both states said it was important for them to remain politically active and engaged in local, municipal and state races over the next two years.

The Honan Group/Teach Coalition survey conducted 681 exit poll interviews on Election Day. The results have a margin of error of plus or minus 3.75 percentage points.

( I don't believe these numbers at all.)

PA voter registration champ Pressler pledges to help N.J. Republicans ahead of 2025 gubernatorial race

November 11, 2024 Matt Rooney Election 2025 0

Scott Pressler, the famously tall and long-haired Republican activist credited with helping Pennsylvania Republicans dramatically dcrease their voter registration gap in 2024, is now pledging to ply his talents for the Garden State in 2025.

New Jersey shocked the political world by posting only a 5-point Harris victory margin last week. No Republican presidential nominee has carried the state since 1988, and President Trump came the closest of any GOP nominee since 1992. In the run-up to Election 2024, New Jersey Republicans saw their voter registration deficit with Democrats shrink from well-over one million to just a hair above 900,000 with very little effort expended by the state GOP establishment.

On Election Day, New Jersey Republicans flipped multiple counties (including heavily-Hispanic and MuslimPassaic County in North Jersey) as well as working class enclaves like Cumberland and Atlantic counties in South Jersey.

Pressler’s organization – earlyvoteaction.com – is credited with helping flip key Pennslyvania counties (notably Bucks) from blue to red.

“I make a commitment right here & now that we will be registering new Republican voters in New Jersey & commit time in 2025 to the gubernatorial election,” Pressler tweeted on X.

Trump Got 50,000 Votes in Michigan from Arab Towns that Voted for Biden in 2020

Arab American voters helped push President-elect Donald Trump over the top in Michigan on Election Day, giving him over 50,000 votes in predominantly Arab towns that President Joe Biden had won easily in 2020, reports show.

As Breitbart News reported, Trump made a late push for Arab and Muslim votes after it became clear that many in the community did not want to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, over the Gaza war and several other issues.

In addition to efforts by the Trump campaign, which were spearheaded by Ric Grenell (now in the running fo Secretary of State), there were also grassroots efforts by activists such as Michelle Dawi (formerly of Breitbart News).

Michael Traugott noted in the Times of Israel on Monday:

More than 100,000 Michigan voters picked “uncommitted” instead of Biden during the Democratic primary.

Trump made multiple visits to Arab American groups during the general election campaign. He used his daughter Tiffany’s father-in-law, Massad Boulos, a Lebanese American, as a surrogate. The mayors of Hamtramck and Dearborn Heights endorsed him.

In just [Dearborn and Dearborn Heights], plus Hamtramck, Trump received 50,332 votes.

Trump won Michigan by 80,618 votes, with 95% of the voted counted thus far.(That was a miracle to get the Muslims involved. God bless this citizens.

He did so not by abandoning Israel — he named the staunchly pro-Israel Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as his UN Ambassador on Sunday — but rather by emphasizing his track record of pushing for peace overall in the Middle East.

FDA Recalls 80K Pounds of Costco Butter from Costco — Label Didn’t Say ‘Contains Milk’

Nov. 11, 2024

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ordered the recall of nearly 80,000 pounds of butter produced in Texas for Costco. The agency ordered the recall because the product packaging contained no “Contains Milk” allergy statement.

Food & Wine reported that the FDA issued a Class II recall on November 7 for 79,200 pounds of Kirkland Signature Sweet Cream Butter (salted and unsalted). The FDA claimed the butter packaging lists “cream” as an ingredient but does not bear the “Contains Milk” allergy statement.

The New York Post posted on social media that the recall was based on the “dumbest possible reason.”

Others posted their dismay that butter is being recalled because the product labeling didn’t tell people that butter is made from cream, which is made from milk.

Another poster on X pointed out that this recall illustrated the “stupidity that Elon Musk talks about.”

Food & Wine added: Though the FDA has not put out information on what to do if you have purchased these recalled items — nor has it shared if there have been any illness or adverse reactions from consuming the product — the usual course of action is to either discard them or return them to your place of purchase just in case.

The specific products being recalled are, according to Food & Wine:

Kirkland Signature Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter (46,800 pounds or 1,300 cases recalled): 1-pound packages of four 4-ounce sticks, UPC 96619-38496:

• Lot No. 2424091; “Best By” date of Feb. 22, 2025

• Lot No. 2424111; “Best By” date of Feb. 23, 2025

• Lot No. 2426891; “Best By” date of Mar. 22, 2025

• Lot No. 2426991; “Best By” date of Mar. 23, 2025

Kirkland Signature Salted Sweet Cream Butter (32,400 pounds or 900 cases recalled): 1-pound packages of four 4-ounce sticks, UPC 96619-38488:

• Lot #2424191 with “Best By” date of Feb. 23, 2025

• Lot #2427591 with “Best By” date of Mar. 29, 2025

“The butter is safe,” KYDO in Lubbock, Texas, reported. “The FDA has given no guidance on what to do with the butter, but if you or someone in you family is allergic, you could possibly return the butter or just throw the butter away.”

Another user on X said they would be willing to accept the returned butter, citing the upcoming holiday baking season.

Kirkland Signature butter is Costco’s private-label butter product. They are manufactured by Continental Dairy Facilities Southwest, LLC, according to Food & Wine. The recalled products are produced and distributed in Texas.

Scientific American Magazine Editor Called to Resign After Profane Anti-Trump Rant

Olivia Rondeau11 Nov 202486

The editor-in-chief of Scientific American (SciAm), the oldest magazine in the U.S., is being called on to resignafter going on a profane anti-Trump rant and describing his supporters as “fascists.”

Laura Helmuth, who became the editor of SciAm in 2020, went on a rage-filled rant in a stream of now-deleted posts on the social media platform Bluesky after the former president won the election:

• “I apologize to younger voters that my Gen X is so full of fucking fascists,” she wrote in one post.

• “Solidarity to everybody whose meanest, dumbest, most bigoted high-school classmates are celebrating early results because fuck them to the moon and back,” she continued, before going after her own home state.

• “Every four years I remember why I left Indiana (where I grew up) and remember why I respect the people who stayed and are trying to make it less racist and sexist,” Helmuth wrote. “The moral arc of the universe isn’t going to bend itself.”

• In a follow-up post the next day, Helmuth implied that her fellow SciAm staff were also “devastated” by the election results:

The magazine has been in print since 1845, featuring work from Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, and more than 150 Nobel Prize-winners.

In 2020, shortly after Helmuth became the chief editor, SciAm endorsed a presidential candidate for the first time ever — Joe Biden.

In September, it endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president “to support science, health and the environment.”

==After receiving backlash about her posts from readers who apparently do not want the once-prestigious magazine’s legacy marred by political polarization, Helmuth deleted her posts and walked back her comments.–

“I made a series of offensive and inappropriate posts on my personal Bluesky account on election night, and I am sorry. I respect and value people across the political spectrum,” she wrote in a statement on Bluesky.

“These posts, which I have deleted, do not reflect my beliefs; they were a mistaken expression of shock and confusion about the election results. These posts of course do not reflect the position of Scientific American or my colleagues. I am committed to civil communication and editorial objectivity,” she added.

Even though she apologized, it was too late.

• Longtime SciAm contributor Michael Shermer, who formerly had a column withthe magazine, said the publication “is now a shill for far left woke progressives” because of Helmuth:

• Scientist Kevin Bass appeared to agree, writing, “Laura Helmuth must go” on X:

Conservative radio host Diane B said that she finds it “interesting” that Helmuth locked down her X account after receiving criticism:

• “As a good friend says: You need to Sack up Laura,” she added.

• Other X users called the editor a “hateful bigot” who made the magazine “toxic” and “non-scientific”:
