That's one of those vital sign monitors. They all have to wear them. Quick alert if there's a gas or sudden change in the air. You'd be amazed at the security they have in place at all times.
Just my opinion, but I don't think that ball was anything more than a ball. After all, why need a data transfer when you already have it all? And then some… Of course, anything is possible.

I've been leaving these little signs around in strategic locations. I carry a pocketful and a rock or two with me everywhere I go.
Visit an all you can eat buffet, take a plate, slip one in 10 plates down and slip away unnoticed…
Leave a rock standing on edge in the fork of a tree on a park trail or jogging path.
Slip a sign in between books in the library; pillow cases at walmart, etc…
I make little stands out of paperclips and stand them on fence corners, in the bark of trees by sidewalks, etc.
Everything used on the little signs is recycled and biodegradable, even the paper clips.

I made a bunch of Pepe signs up last night. They're cute and when people find them slightly hidden, they become allured by the mystery of it all. I've watched people find them from a distance. It's great to see them looking around and slipping the sign in their pocket, like they think they're getting away with something… making sure no one sees them.
Thanks, I have about 15 more rocks to disperse today. I leave these things all around town and check back on them later.
Easy enough to make :)… use acrylic paints and they'll last forever.

I actually managed to leave one of those rocks on the ledge of a bank teller, in front of many security cams and people behind me and in front of me, undetected.
I like the idea of leaving in a bank because no one will have the testies to steal it, but yet, everyone will see it ;)
I've been dropping these little signs and rocks for some time now. I really hope people are digging and learning. Each one we awaken, has the potential to awake 10 more.
And I always carry a marker with me, because you just never know…
