Left-Wing Groups With Violent Histories Mobilize for Protests Ahead of Trump Inauguration

Flyers encouraging students to join anti-fascist protest groups have appeared on George Washington University’s campus following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election. The flyers, which feature QR codes, direct individuals to a collection of links inviting them to join groups such as the People’s Medic Collective, DMV Students for Justice in Palestine, and the Socialist Action Initiative. These groups have been involved in protests that included acts of vandalism and clashes with police, according to reports.

The flyers, bearing slogans like “Fight Fascism! Start Today!” and “Turn Your Anger Into Action,” aim to recruit individuals for demonstrations ahead of Trump’s inauguration in January 2025. Among the participating groups, PMC actively supports demonstrators by recruiting healthcare professionals to provide medical care during protests. The organization claimed it assisted dozens of individuals during the “Arrest Netanyahu” protests, which were marked by property damage, flag burnings, and violent confrontations with law enforcement, The Washington Post reported.
