The DC Blob’s understanding of what makes a good SECDEF is totally out of whack.

Lets look at recent history:

• Seasoned infantry officer who has campaigned for veterans and went to Princeton and Harvard. DC Blob: NOT qualified.

• Board member of a defense contractor who can’t think off his note card, and requires a senate waiver of a law that prohibits recently retired General’s from serving as SD. DC Blob: Qualified.

• Special Forces Colonel who road into Afghanistan on horseback after 9/11, was unanimously confirmed by the Senate to lead NCTC, and has more combat experience than any Secretary since Marshal. DC Blob: NOT Qualified

• Mid level DC lobbyist for a defense contractor with a fake PHD, who requires everyone to call him “Doctor,” and thinks Americans dying of fentanyl aren’t worth fighting for. DC Blob: Qualified
