There are many bad Catholics. Many stories of saints include a part where a priest or priests didn't like the new Bishop or monestary leader and tried to poison him or kill him. St John of the Cross was put in prison because some monastic order didn't want reform. The Borges popes (did I spell that wrong) were often decadent like some of the worst Roman emperors.
Catholics don't hide the truth about how some people go rotten. And how clerics are often the most rotten of all.
