Peter thought Jesus was too good for what had to happen, saying this must never happen to Him. He was Above that to Peter. Peter considered himself unworthy to die as Jesus did.

Not everyone who believes in Jesus accepts the term Christ.
There are also messianic Jews who do believe in Jesus.
