Joni Ernst to lead new DOGE caucus in the Senate

Iowa's Republican Sen. Joni Ernst was tapped on Friday to lead the Senate's new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) caucus, which is expected to coordinate with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy reduce federal spending.

President-elect Donald Trump announced the formation of DOGE earlier this month and gave Musk and Ramaswamy the sweeping mission to "dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies."
