France says it won’t arrest Netanyahu
The Israeli PM may have immunity from the ICC war crimes warrant, the foreign ministry in Paris has said
Paris “will apply international law based on its obligations to cooperate with the ICC,” Barrot told Franceinfo radio on Wednesday. The Rome Statute, which established the court, “deals with questions of immunity for certain leaders,” and such matters ultimately rest with the courts, he added.
Earlier in the day, the French Foreign Ministry issued a statement signaling that, while Paris would honor its commitments to the ICC, Israel is not actually a party to the Rome Statute.
“France will respect its international obligations, understanding that the Rome Statute requires full cooperation with the International Criminal Court (ICC),” the ministry said, but “cannot be required to act in a manner inconsistent with its obligations under international law regarding the immunities of states that are not parties to the ICC.”
“In accordance with the historic friendship between France and Israel, two democracies committed to the rule of law and the respect of professional and independent justice, France intends to continue working closely with Prime Minister Netanyahu and other Israeli authorities to achieve peace and security for all in the Middle East,” the ministry added.

British Troops Deployed to US Air Bases in England To Protect Them From Drone Attacks

The US Air Force continues to monitor the airspace over the three bases.

‘Small unmanned aerial systems’ hovered over US bases last week, and again on Monday.
Besides that, a ‘mystery drone’ also followed British aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth into the port of Hamburg, in Germany, last Friday.
“In a statement, a spokesman for the US Air Force in Europe, said: ‘We can confirm there were sightings yesterday [Monday] during night-time hours and can only confirm that the number fluctuated and varied between the bases over the night’.”

U.S. Government Hired PR Firm To Push COVID Shots For Kids
A U.S. House of Representatives committee report exposed troubling details behind the multi-million dollar push for COVID-19 vaccines, including that the government aggressively promoted the shots for children using emotional manipulation and fear-based messaging through the Fors Marsh Group PR firm.
The House Energy and Commerce Committee released an assessment of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) COVID-19 public health campaign, revealing it was fraught with miscalculations that set the stage for widespread public distrust.
In December 2020, the FDA granted emergency use authorization (EUA) to the first COVID-19 shots, yet these authorizations clearly stated there was no evidence the shots prevented viral transmission.
Despite this, the administration launched the “We Can Do This” campaign, spending over $900 million to promote vaccine uptake and public health measures.
However, foundational issues plagued the campaign from the beginning. Past contracts and fiscal mismanagement within HHS raised red flags about the effectiveness and integrity of their public relations, or PR, efforts.
As the campaign aimed to shape public behavior around masking, social distancing and vaccination, the reliance on flawed CDC guidance undermined its credibility.
By allowing CDC recommendations to drive public messaging, the administration sowed confusion and mistrust.
These early failures were not isolated incidents but part of a broader pattern of inconsistent and politically influenced public health strategies that ultimately eroded the very trust needed to effectively manage a public health crisis.
Shifting mask guidelines undermined public trust
Initially, masks were deemed unnecessary for the general public, with prominent figures like Dr. Anthony Fauci advocating against their widespread use.
However, by April 2020, the CDC had completely reversed its stance, recommending masks for everyone outside the home. This flip-flop was not just confusing but also seemed politically motivated, influenced by factors such as teachers’ unions pushing for prolonged school closures.
The subsequent inconsistent messaging continued, with masks being recommended, then downplayed again as the shots rolled out. Each reversal rightfully fostered skepticism and resistance, while undermining the credibility of public health institutions.
This erosion of trust was further exacerbated when breakthrough infections and variants like Delta emerged, proving that earlier mask guidance had been incorrect.

The FBI said Wednesday that it's investigating several threats made against some of President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet nominees and administration appointees.
The FBI said in a statement that it is “aware of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting incoming administration nominees and appointees, and we are working with our law enforcement partners. We take all potential threats seriously, and as always, encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement,” The Associated Press reported.
Several of Trump's Cabinet nominees and administration appointees received bomb threats and were swatted Wednesday morning and Tuesday night, according to his transition team's spokeswoman.
"Last night and this morning, several of President Trump's Cabinet nominees and Administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them," Trump-Vance Transition Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
"These attacks ranged from bomb threats to 'swatting.' In response, law enforcement and other authorities acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action."
Local law enforcement officials visited the homes of several nominees and appointees in response to threats, according to Fox News
The residences of both Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., and a family member of former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., received threats, per the AP.

The Biden administration is pushing ahead with a $680 million arms sales package to Israel, a US official familiar with the plan said on Wednesday, even as a US-brokered ceasefire in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah has come into effect.
The package, which was first reported by the Financial Times, includes thousands of joint direct attack munition kits (JDAM) and hundreds of small-diameter bombs, according to the official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The news comes less than a day after the ceasefire agreement ended the most direct confrontation in years between Israel and the Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah in Lebanon, but Israel is still fighting its other arch-foe, the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Oxford college referred to charity regulator over £1m investment in Israeli settlements
Oxford's All Souls College maintains investments in four companies listed by the UN as being involved in Israeli settlements
A college at England's elite Oxford University has been referred to Britain's charity regulator after it emerged that it has over £1m ($1.26m) worth of investments in illegal Israeli settlements.
The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP), a UK-based group, launched a formal complaint on Tuesday with the Charity Commission against Oxford's All Souls College, which has an endowment of nearly £500m and was founded in 1438 by King Henry VI.
The revelation follows a series of freedom of information requests made in July and August 2024 that revealed the college maintains £1,121,731.57 worth of investments in four companies listed by the United Nations as being involved in Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
ICJP alleged in its complaint that these investments violated not just international but also domestic British law.
The college is a registered charity, meaning it receives tax relief on donations but British legislation prohibits charities from engaging in political activity.

A long-running cross-border investigation has led to the takedown of a large-scale drug trafficking criminal network smuggling cocaine from South America into the EU. The operation spanned Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia.
The cocaine traffickers targeted in this investigation used different maritime routes and modus operandi. The criminal network is connected to a seizure of over half a tonne of cocaine, with a street value of a EUR 50 million, at the port of Ploče in southern Croatia in late March 2021. The drugs were concealed in a modified cargo container floor. This seizure is a further indication that international drug trafficking organisations are increasingly targeting smaller EU ports.
EUR 1 million in cash seized and 18 under investigation
On the action day on 26 November 2024, law enforcement authorities arrested 11 suspects (2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 in Croatia and 8 in Serbia). One of them is a high-value target. During the house searches, law enforcement officers seized weapons and a large amount of ammunition, as well as several expensive vehicles, watches and over EUR 1 million in cash. Four other individuals under investigation for belonging to this network are already in imprisoned. International Arrest Warrants have been issued for three others.
The criminal network bribed several corrupt customs’ officer to avoid police and customs controls during the logistical phase of the export. One corrupt customs officer was arrested during the operation. The other arrests were of members of the criminal network who played different roles in the organisation. Some of them led different criminal cells, while others either financed the activities or coordinated and arranged the logistics. One of the suspects, a high-value target arrested in Serbia, was already wanted by an EU Member State. He was involved in a million-euro theft as part of the notorious Pink Panther group. Both the theft and his escape from prison after his conviction date back to the early 2000s
