However, she has been met with outright rejection or conditional support—with some top Dem donors asking her to sign a pledge not to seek the Democrat Party nomination in 2028 in exchange for financial assistance.

As RedState's Bob Hoge reported, the Democrat Party Twitter/X account released a short video Tuesday of what they described as "Vice President Kamala Harris' message to supporters." Presumably, the video was created to boost the morale of Democrats who were absolutely deflated and demoralized (and in many cases frighteningly unhinged) after their Election Day drubbing at the hands of former President Donald Trump. "I just have to remind you, don’t you ever let anybody take your power from you," a tired-looking Harris emphatically stated. "You have the same power that you did before November 5th." Ryan Wesley Routh, the second suspect to attempt to assassinate then-candidate Donald Trump, sent Politico a letter parroting mainstream media talking points that vilify Trump. At one point in the four-page letter, penned from behind bars, the alleged would-be Trump assassin calls Trump a "dictator." [Tweet] According to the anti-Trump screed — written prior to the 2024 presidential election — Routh warned that if Trump were to win, the country would need to strip the president's commander-in-chief status ahead of Inauguration Day. "We must limit all Presidential power before Trump seizes our country," Routh wrote.

Mediaite: "Fox argued that hosts were perfectly within their rights to question Epps receiving no jail time while others involved in Jan. 6 were hit with much harsher sentences.

‘Even if Fox hosts implied a factual conclusion about Plaintiff, it reflected only their interpretations based on disclosed facts,’ Fox previously argued."

NYT: "Fox fought the defamation claims by arguing in court papers that they were ‘a direct attack on the First Amendment.’ Moreover, the lawyers — among them, Patrick F. Philbin, who once served as Mr. Trump’s deputy White House counsel — maintained that Mr. Carlson, in his on-air remarks about Mr. Epps, had not been acting with malice but was merely offering opinions.

Judge Hall agreed with much of this, noting that guests whom Mr. Carlson brought on his show to discuss Mr. Epps — including the right-wing journalist Darren Beattie — were simply airing their ‘own commentary and opinions.’"

This raises the question of why Fox News didn’t fight the Dominion lawsuit.
