car smash involving two Ferraris, a McLaren and a Bentley with a combined value of £6million has been branded the most expensive crash of the year.

 

The incident took place on November 10 on a mountain road near Pfunds, in Austria's Tyrol State, where a £447,000 Ferrari 812 Superfast collided with a £4million LaFerrari.

 

According to reports, the Ferrari Superfast had been driving behind the LaFerrari before a collision took place on a tight hairpin bend on the country road at around 2.40pm.

ROTHSCHILD–William B.,

 

of Rancho Mirage, CA, formerly of Maplewood, NJ, passed away at his home in Rancho Mirage, on Wednesday, November 25th at the age of 98. Bill Rothschild leaves his wife, Beverly Rothschild, his sons, Mark and Jeffrey Rothschild, and his grandchildren, Harriet, Isaac, and Jackiel Rothschild. Bill Rothschild was born May 15th, 1917 in New York City. Bill's father, Marcus Rothschild, founded the firm of M. Rothschild & Company, a leading importer of commodities from South East Asia. After attending the University of Georgia, Bill worked for his father in New York before spending six years in the US Army, acquiring the rank of Master Sargent and participated in the Normandy invasion and the Ardennes campaign. Following WWII, Bill rejoined M. Rothschild & Company, where he assisted his father and eventually became President of the firm. Bill served as President of the American/Indonesian Chamber of Commerce from 1968-71 and 1979-80. Bill was a Life Master bridge player and scratch golfer. Bill and his wife, Beverly were long time members of the Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, NJ. Bill and Beverly relocated to Rancho Mirage in 2006, where they are members of Mission Hills Country Club. Bill loved golf and especially bridge and was a regular bridge player at Duncan Bridge Center in Palm Dessert. Service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, December 2, at Desert Memorial Park, Cathedral City, CA.
