Because our anonymity, you guys haven't noticed that I've been gone for a week. I had to apply what I've learned her to the real world. My piece of shit nephew killed himself out on a piece of my land. A bad LSD trip made him super paranoid that something was going to get him. His dad thought that he had calmed down and wasn't a threat to himself but would never say what was going to get him. He drove 60 miles to where he thought he was the safest, and from what I can tell, he realized that he still couldn't get away from it so he ended himself.

I reflected back to when he was growing up and he was a really good kid who got good grades, played sports, and played the guitar. It seemed like overnight that he turned from an alter boy into someone who was crazed to get his hands on any pill, injection, drink, etc that could nuke his mind. First came the drugs and then came the thefts to buy the shit. Started at the age of 14 and at the age of 16 he tested positive for 17 different drugs in his system. I always expected the death call but from overdose. Somehow he made it more than 10 years doing this shit. He should have been in jail but my brother always did his best to protect him from the law and himself.

I didn't realize until now what could have motivated his entire life of being a piece of shit. Now reflecting on the pattern of his addiction, it seems to be based around escaping instead of pleasure. I realized that a traumatic event could have changed the path of his life. Was he molested in the Catholic church that he was an alter boy for and attended for school? I think so. I floated the theory to my other 2 brothers and they now see the same thing. The timing and circumstances were right. It would explain everything from that point forward in his life.

I started digging on the bishops and priests that were there at the time. I got a confirmed hit on a dude that was charged for molestation at a recent date but was shuffled away a few years before the correct time frame. I doubt I find the truth right now but when the catholic church scandals start breaking, I'll be taking names and checking their histories. I have a feeling at least one of them has crossed paths with my nephew.
