Q is making references to things with much of what he says. The Hidden Hand interview is rather important in understanding some of what Q is talking about. Regardless of whether or not it is true - it is what many of them believe or have been taught. So it is true insofar as how they will view the world and generally choose to behave.
That is one meaning of "shall we play a game?"

The luciferian teaching is that life is of little or no consequence and we all sit back and have a laugh about how someone got held down and raped. They do not even believe in the same concept of individuality and are taught that they are akin to members of a hive with no will or purpose apart from their "creator" - which, by their own admission, is an evil entity (but evil is "good" because it allows other things to experience something else).

Whether that is "real" or not is rather up for debate, but it frames the conflict in their perspective.
