Trump is ‘not safe’ – Putin

The US President-elect and his family were subjected to “absolutely uncivilized methods” during the election campaign, Vladimir Putin has said

US President-elect Donald Trump is “not safe,”Russian President Vladimir Putin believes.

The Russian president made the remarks on Thursday at a press conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, following a two-day Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit.

Putin said he was astonished by the way the US election campaign had unfolded, citingthe “absolutely uncivilized methods used to battle against Trump, including repeated assassination attempts."

“In my opinion, he is not safe now,” Putin emphasized, noting that “various incidents have happened in US history.”

Russia’s presidentpraised Trump as an experienced and intelligent politician, sayinghe hopes the president-elect is “cautious and understands this.”

Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13 during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when a bullet fired from around 150 meters away grazed his ear. The Secret Service responded by taking down the shooter, who was later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, a resident of a suburb of nearby Pittsburgh.

Another would-be assassin, Ryan Routh, was arrested in September after he set up an ambush at a Florida golf course belonging to Trump.

On Wednesday, ABC News reported, citing court documents, that US federal authorities have arrested an Arizona man who allegedly threatened to kill Trump and his family via a series of Facebook videos, which he had been posting on a “near daily basis.”

Putin said he was evenmore astonishedthat Trump’s political opponents hadtargeted the Republican’s family and children.

He calledsuch behavior “revolting” and indicative of the US political system’s decline, noting that even criminal groupswould not resort to such methods.

Putin saidhe couldn’t rule outthat the Biden administration has been trying to create difficulties for Trump’s relations with Russia.

Nevertheless,Moscow is “ready for dialoguewith the United States, including with the future administration,” Putin stressed.

(I wish some of Putin's protectors were around Trump and family, or Erik Prince and team are around them day and night.)

With Trump Returning and Hezbollah Weakened, Iran Strikes a Conciliatory Tone

As Iran faces domestic and foreign challenges, its bellicose rhetoric on the United States and Israel has given way to signs that it wants less confrontation.

In mid-November, Iran dispatched a top official to Beirut to urge Hezbollah to accept a cease-fire with Israel. Around the same time, Iran’s U.N. ambassador met with Elon Musk, an overture to President-elect Donald J. Trump’s inner circle. And on Friday, it will hold talks in Geneva with European countries on a range of issues, including its nuclear program.

All this recent diplomacy marks a sharp change in tone from late October, when Iran was preparing to launch a large retaliatory attack on Israel, with a deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps warning, “We have never left an aggression unanswered in 40 years.”

Iran’s swing from tough talk to a more conciliatory tone in just a few weeks’ time has its roots in developments at home and abroad.

Five Iranian officials, one of them a Revolutionary Guards member, and two former officials said the decision to recalibrate was prompted by Mr. Trump winning the Nov. 5 election, with concerns about an unpredictable leader who, in his first term, pursued a policy of “maximum pressure” on Iran.

But it was also driven by Israel’s decimation in Lebanon of Hezbollah — the closest and most important of Iran’s militant allies — and by economic crises at home, where the currency has dropped steadily against the dollar and an energy shortage looms as winter approaches….very long article,They don't want to piss Trump off

Plus Trump said ge made a deal with Iran shortly before the 2020, and he said he would sign the deal with Iran right after the election;so I think Iran is glad Trump is back so they are not in constant war with Israel, and they can be invited back in the international community.
