Connections between IMF and Hollywood are creepy AF. And seems like I see her everywhere lately.
They buy movies for more than they're worth. It's really expensive to create content and Netflix has been buying crap content for big money for a while.
Bankruptcy restructuring would allow lots of debt to be wiped out.
Or a company like Walmart can use the debt as a tax write-off on its other profits.
