Anon, you can still believe that the Jews are chosen without believing they are superior. That is biblical and it didn't end with Israel's rejecting Christ. Romans says they are currently blinded until the time of the gentiles be fulfilled. God will save Israel and He loves her out of mercy, not out of superiority. Just like us.
