Shit. Hole.

HONOLULU (AP) — ABC Stores employees said they've had to buy a $300 power washer to clean feces away from their Cooke Street corporate headquarters since dozens of homeless people moved back into their neighborhood this month.

The employees say the homeless people camp out front each night when nearby Mother Waldron Park closes. ABC Stores warehouse manager Mark Flores says he spends 90 minutes each morning waking up people to ask them to clear the front of the building so employees can park their vehicles.

Officers hand-picked by former Police Chief Louis Kealoha for an elite unit that investigates terrorism, organized crime and other serious crimes helped the couple frame a relative to discredit him in a family financial dispute that threatened to unveil the schemes to pilfer money, according to a federal indictment unsealed Friday.

Honolulu police have arrested two men after a teen was apparently stabbed at Ala Moana Beach Park Sunday night.

The incident happened around 6:15 p.m. A 17-year-old male was treated for multiple lacerations to his upper body and taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition, according to paramedics.

The all-day manhunt began following a late night traffic stop. When officers approached his car, Waiki reportedly exited the vehicle and started shooting, fatally wounding officer Bronson Kaliloa.

And while meth and heroin still dominate the area, a spokesman for the state's largest homeless service provider says there's been a re-emergence of a drug last popular in the 1980s.

"Crack cocaine is not something we really see too often across encampments throughout Oahu. This is really unique and individualized to Chinatown," said Kimo Carvalho.

Honolulu prosecuting attorney Keith Kaneshiro is the target of an FBI investigation into corruption at the highest levels of law enforcement on Oahu."There is stuff coming down that the entire legal system is going to be ashamed of," Green said. "I mean the whole country is going to look at the potential of the prosecutor's office maybe getting charged."

Another sign federal authorities are focused on Kaneshiro — the same team of special prosecutors from San Diego who got the Kealoha indictments, is leading the Kaneshiro grand jury, too. That team is led by assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Wheat.

Evidence for a federal high-profile corruption case against former Honolulu Chief of Police Louis Kealoha and his wife Katherine is missing.

Honolulu Police confirm they've opened a theft case because attorney Christopher Woo, who was representing Big Island firefighter Jesse Ebersole claims his laptop and cell phone were stolen.

He was never charged with the more eye-catching expenses that he billed to the county for a $1,200 surfboard; $400 that he spent at the Camelot Restaurant and Lounge hostess bar and a $892 tab at the Club Evergreen hostess bar, which are both located in Honolulu.

Ahakuelo, who has headed the union since 2011, has come under fire from some members for hiring relatives at the union. Last year, the union paid more than $600,000 in salaries and benefits to Ahakuelo and his family members.

Eight of the allegations involve airfare for trips to Las Vegas, Miami, and Washington D-C. A lot of it was for first-class travel. One trip included seven members of Ahakuelo's family.

"A lot of us were shouting like 'Look, we don't want any trouble just go and just get out of here,'" Lauren said.

Lauren said she was then attacked by the group of teens.

Brown, Brian and their other friend Fred jumped in to help.

"Immediately, they decided they were going to take her purse from her and they started assaulting her and jumped on top of her," said Brian. "That's when me, Fred and Will just tried to pull them off, then everyone was assaulting us and it was just a chaotic mess."

Brian says about 15 seconds is all it took before the attackers, roughly 15 of them, ran off with Lauren's purse.

Brown was lying on the ground.

The odor of formaldehyde stings the air in the second floor laboratory of Honolulu’s Department of the Medical Examiner Iwilei facility. The scent clings to the throats of all who enter the room where technicians slice tissue in preparation for biopsies.

A fume hood is supposed to suck out the carcinogenic fumes, but the hood isn’t working properly.

Rubio likes to keep a bottle of lotion on her desk, but the rats that infest the building keep chewing through the plastic.

Built in 1986, the crumbling facility has had no major repairs. Now, there are real concerns that the condition of the facility is threatening the health of workers and visitors to the building. Criminal cases also could be at risk if evidence collected by the medical examiner becomes tainted due to contamination from leaks or unsafe handling.

A new federal grand jury has already been empaneled. Special prosecutor Wheat is scheduled to return to Hawaii in early November to continue his investigation into corruption and abuse of power within the Honolulu Police Department and other law enforcement agencies, potentially including the office of Honolulu Prosecuting Attorney Keith Kaneshiro.

Beste said Kealoha had a history of “abusing the levers of power” as a deputy prosecuting attorney and had contacted others who had testified before the federal grand jury, some of whom she asked to communicate with her via encrypted messaging.

He also noted that Kealoha had at least 10 separate phone numbers that she allegedly used to “avoid detection and avoid monitoring.”

A Maui Police captain resigns following sexual assault accusations that he groped a fellow officer.

Stephen Orikasa, who served for 27 years turned in his gun and badge last Friday, but the allegations against him date back to June of 2017.

According to MPD officials, his alleged victim is a fellow officer in the police department.

("Nice" area) "A couple more druggy guys, more chronic guys been coming over here," said Kailua business owner, Joe Banks. "You'll see all the rubbish left over and needles have been found." The residents say they see the signs every day. They took us through the stream where we saw rubbish, toilet paper, and even a bicycle in a tree.

Pick any night in Waikiki and you'll see prostitutes plying their trade, pimps protecting their property, and the darker side of night life screaming "Sex for Sale."

"This is a multi-billion-dollar a year industry," said Kathryn Xian, co-founder of Pacific Alliance to Stop Slavery (PASS)..

When two special agents from Homeland Security Investigations arrived to do a follow-up interview with Situ, she allegedly told them she wants the same arrangement her friend’s massage parlor has with a Honolulu law enforcement officer. She said her friend runs a prostitution business and pays an officer who tips her off about any law enforcement activity.

Situ said “it was hard for her to operate her business successfully with so much law enforcement activity,” the complaint said.
