VA creates green burials at three national cemeteries.

In 2022, Congress authorized VA to establish green burial sections through the National Cemeteries Preservation and Protection Act. The law provides that remains interred in a green burial section must be prepared for burial in a manner that does not involve chemicals or embalming fluids, and require the use of non-toxic and biodegradable materials, such as caskets, shrouds and urns.

Electric school bus maker Lion Electric suspends operations at Illinois plant

When electric school bus manufacturer Lion Electric opened its sprawling 900,000 square-foot factory in Joliet last year, Gov. JB Pritzker and both Illinois senators attended the ceremony.

The facility — the first new vehicle assembly plant to open in metropolitan Chicago since 1965 — was hailed as a source of good jobs and a step forward into a carbon-free future.

Morning Joe issued a stunning rebuke to a comment from one of their pundits, apologizing on behalf of the liberal network to rivals Fox News over a joke about Pete Hegseth. The show has come under fire in recent weeks after hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski patched things up with Donald Trump at a secret Mar-a-Lago summit.
