There are a lot of issues besides 10th Amendment, and discrimination.
What about the financial impact.
Do children bear the financial costs of transitioning?
Does a child of 16 much less 2 years old even have a clue about what things cost? The lifetime cost?
Can a parent be forced to pay for something they disapprove of?
If the diagnosis is gender dysphoria, psychiatric, should the parent pay for therapy?
Why does/did it take years of therapy for an adult to transition, but a decision can be made on a child in one session?
If a child isn't allowed to make legal decisions (for the most part) until age of 18, why is a child allowed for force the financial consequences of medical/legal decision on an unwilling parent?
Would the parent have the right to file for financial damages against the school/medical people?
(This isn't about discrimination against a trans. I know 2 ADULTS who transitioned, both in 50s. One was the best candidate for political office I've seen in my area for a long time.)
