In the last few days someone there helping did speak directly with JD Vance on what they need FEMA to be doing & not doing.
Pray for these people, this is a way broader disaster than the coasts deal with. Blackrock owns quite a bit there via Albamarle, they had also recently bought up a number of commercial stuff in Chimney Rock, haven't helped directly at all.
