(NYSE: FLO) is voluntarily recalling Swiss Rolls sold under the brand names Mrs. Freshley’s, Food Lion, H-E-B, Baker’s Treat, Market Square, and Great Value, distributed nationwide, and Captain John Derst’s Old Fashioned Bread distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, due to the potential presence of Salmonella in an ingredient, whey powder. The ingredient recall was initiated by a third-party whey powder manufacturer and supplier. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled items.

Interior expects both 'crazy' and 'great' responses to new endangered species plan

The Interior Department rolled out three new proposed rules on Thursday to "tweak" how the federal government manages endangered species, which is expected to receive enormous pushback but also praise.

"Here's my expectation for pretty much all three rules," said Interior Deputy Secretary David Bernhardt on a call with reporters. "I think we'll hear people say it's great, we'll have people say it's crazy, and we'll have everything in between."

Nevertheless, he is "hopeful" that people that have views "take the time to write" the agency "serious" and "thoughtful" responses to what is being proposed, Bernhardt said. He said he will read over them "laboriously," and anticipates responses from the "entire spectrum of opinion."

70 College Presidents Make Over $1 Million In Total Compensation

As college tuition continues to increase, so does the total compensation for college presidents.

College presidents make an astronomical amount of money. There are 70 college presidents — 12 at public schools and 58 at private — who make over $1 million, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Public college statistics originate from the 2016–2017 school year, and the private college statistics come from 2015 numbers.

“It is one of the great questions. When universities and colleges are complaining how hard it is to control costs, you have to wonder why their high-ranking executives are being paid like captains of industry,” Frederick Hess, American Enterprise Institute’s director of education policy, told the Daily Caller.

You are correct. One got a bachelors and had to go into the military when they got out because they could not make a living. The other dropped out half way thru and took a job skilled labor job making much better money than most college degrees.
