AN OPEN LETTER TO RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN

Dear Mr. President,

I write to ask you to exercise restraint with regard to the devilish threat to Russia and the Ukraine that you face at the hands of godless warmongers in the British-American military-industrial complex.

You and I may have met when you were a KGB colonel in Leningrad in 1981 after Aleksandra Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov published our music on the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics film and Melodiya issued an EP.I was then European director of a Gospel music group named Living Sound. I had just visited our Estonian translator in Tallinn, who had introduced us to Pakhmutova.He had just been released from Patarei prison for his “anti-Soviet” crime of organizing Christian music concerts.You or your employees body searched me at the Leningrad airport before my departure, then let me go, thankfully.

Fifteen years later my wife and I,formerly evangelical Protestants, made the decision to be chrismated into the Orthodox Christian Church. In 1995, I was a guest of His Holiness Patriarch Alexei II in Moscow regarding the new Orthodox Church in America Representation Church of St. Catherine the Great Martyr. We participated in a blessed procession through the streets of Moscow commemorating The Great Stand on the Ugra River that founded Moscow, and prayed for the martyrs of Lubyanka.

My wife’s father was a 69th Infantry Division rifleman at the Link-Up at the Elbe River near Torgau, Germany on April 25, 1945. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed that day and the war-hardened American and Soviet troops stood down from a conflict that General Eisenhower feared.

I understand from those closer to you that you are now a praying Russian Orthodox Christian.I pray for you to have the Wisdom from on High to help the world navigate the threat that the Spirit-less NATO British-American merchant-banker Pilgrims Society centered in TheCityofLondonis perpetrating upon the world, and especially on Russia and the Ukraine.

We know that thePilgrims Society has been trying to orchestrate the subjugation of Russia for over 100 years—at least since Viscount Alfred Milner, the creator of the modern concentration camp in South Africa, hosted the Russian Duma in London on June 22, 1909. Warmongers like Victoria Nuland and a hostof British-American propagandists, barons, lords, knights, dukes, field marshals, air marshals, admirals, generals, spies, and politicians are evidently taunting Russia to use nuclear weapons.Thinking people know that your restraint is strength and wisdom, not weakness.

Putin’s annual Q&A to use AI for first time – Kremlin

Sberbank’s GigaChat tool will sort through the massive number of messages addressed to the president, spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said

The Kremlin will use AI to sort through questions submitted by the Russian population to President Vladimir Putin for his traditional long-format press conference later this month, spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

The president’s office organizes events of this kind almost every year, with Putin spending several hours each time responding to questions from different parts of Russia asked by regular citizens and members of the press corps.

This year, the marathon press conference will be held on December 19, Peskov announced. The collection of questions from the public will start this weekend, the official told the media. Text messages, phone calls, and video records are all viable options, he added.

“Thanks to the titanic effort by the organizers of the event, first of all the specialists from Sberbank,we’ve managed to employ GigaChat to deal with the entire content of the incoming messages,” the official said.

Sberbank, or Sber, is Russia’s largest lender and invests heavily in advanced information technology. GigaChat is among the tools developed by the banking and tech giant.

In 2023, Putin’s press conference was held in mid-December and was named ‘Results of the Year’.Some 2 million texts and calls were submitted to the Kremlin for the event, including a video recording featuring a Putin look-alikecreated by a university student from St. Petersburg using ‘deep fake’ technology.

In the past, Putin spoke to the general public and to journalists on separate occasions, but in recent years the two types of marathon events have been merged into a single session.

Trump adviser blasts Zelensky for ‘disrespectful’ attire

At his meeting with the US president-elect in Paris on Saturday, the Ukrainian leader wore a sweater and boots instead of a suit

Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone has blasted Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky for the clothing he wore at a trilateral meeting with the incoming US president and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.

The three held talks at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Saturday, on the sidelines of the reopening ceremony of the Notre Dame Cathedral. According to media reports, the meeting was brief and lasted around 45 minutes, with Macron having to persuade Trump for days to agree to it.

While both Macron and Trump wore formal suits, Zelensky wore a black sweatshirt with the emblem of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, slacks, a military-style jacket, and brown combat boots. While this has become a signature style for the Ukrainian leader, Stone found it offensive.

“He can’t afford a suit? He wore a suit and tie to the World Economic Forum event, but can’t wear one to address a joint session of Congress or to meet the President-elect of the United States?” Stone told the New York Post, adding thatZelensky’s attire was “disrespectful to the American people.”

Social media users have expressed similar grievances over Zelensky’s fashion choices on X, with many posting comments such as “Zelensky was too good to wear a suit to the Notre Dame,” and “next time you’re in the presence of our President, show some respect and put on a suit.”

Several users offered to buy the Ukrainian leader formal clothing, while others lamented that “after all the billions we’ve sent, Zelensky still can’t afford a suit.” One user noted that Zelensky was known to wear suits during his career as a comedian.

“Zelensky, wear a suit. Being a country at war doesn’t obligate you to a wardrobe of t-shirts for the rest of your life,” another wrote.

The details of the trilateral meeting have been vague. None of participants have spoken to the press following the talks, but later posted their impressions on social media. Macron said on X that the meeting was focused on the Ukraine conflict and the steps to resolve it, while Zelensky described the talks as “good and productive.”

Trump called for an “immediate ceasefire and negotiations” between Moscow and Kiev on his Truth Social account on Sunday, adding that Kiev “would like to make a deal” with Russia. He did not offer any details, however.

Trump was ‘reluctant’ to meet Zelensky – Axios

France’s Emmanuel Macron reportedly worked for days to convince the US president-elect to meet the Ukrainian leader in person

French President Emmanuel Macron had to persuade incoming US President Donald Trump to meet Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelenskyduring a visit to Paris by the latter two, Axios reported on Sunday, citing sources.

Trump arrived in Paris on Saturday to attend the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral, which was damaged in a fire in 2019. The trip was Trump’s first foreign visit since winning last month’s election. The trilateral meeting between Trump, Macron, and Zelensky took place shortly after the reopening ceremony. A source told Axios thatTrump had initially been “reluctant” to meet with Zelensky and made the decision to go ahead with the meeting at the last moment.

According to French media reports, the encounterlasted only about 45 minutes. None of the three men spoke to the press afterwards or revealed any specific details of the meeting.

According to earlier media reports, he may try to enforce a freeze of the conflict along the current battle lines, using US aid to Kiev as leverage.

Moscow has repeatedly said it considers a freeze of the conflict unacceptable. It has insisted that any settlement is only possible if Ukraine withdraws its forces from Russian territory, including the former Ukrainian regions, ensures the rights of its Russian-speaking population and adheres to neutrality.

Look at the distance between them, and the handshake, when every other person was pulled in close with Trump, and he gave a pat on the arm or back.
