one of the most interesting things to me in that whole sequence is the use of dashes, em-dashes, and en-dashes.

this board software has a funny feature wherein if you type three or two regular hyphens you get different dashes:

β€” (3)

– (2)

  • (1)

and then when you look back through Qs posts there are lots of times when this happens, whether on purpose or by accident… who knows, but i think everything is intentional, so the little

at the end of the password takes on a significance.

it's not four dashes, it's 10

one of the things i never tested was what happens if you type sequential em-dashes, do they get converted. here's that test now, you can try the same.

--– (12 regular dashes)

–––––– (6 typed em dashes)

β€”β€”β€”β€” (4 typed en dashes)

my guess it's that line 1 and 3 will be the same but live 2 will remain 6 ems
