Coventry investigation linked to ‘human remains case’

COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Multiple law enforcement agencies were back searching a wooded area in Coventry Tuesday morning.

Police said the search in the area of Gadoury Avenue, near the Coventry-West Warwick town line, is in connection with a case where human remains were found.

It’s unclear where or when the remains were found, but officers are describing it as an “older case.”

Coventry detectives, FBI agents and a Rhode Island State Police K-9 unit were seen digging through the woods and raking leaves.
