We made contact with an extraterrestrial species. We’ve been told directly that if we disclose this, we will be executed without trial. There aren’t many of us that know. Maybe a dozen. Twenty at most.

They’ve travelled here after our quantum communications program made a connection with them. We shot down their craft and it killed their ambassadors. They stopped talking to us and now we have craft in our skies we can’t identify.

Top brass are panicking because the crafts induced an earthquake off the coast of California, potentially a warning shot. Requests for contact have been met with silence.

You have no idea how serious I am. The only proof I can give you is in the seismic data. You’ll notice the data is consistent with an increase in low-frequency vibrations as a spike. The quake was a ‘slip’ that happened as a result of a ‘shot’ of low-frequency vibrations.
