Sovereign Immunity.

Short definition: US govt can’t be sued without Congress voting to allow it. By extension the government title POTUS and its holder could be considered to have Sovereign Immunity. SCOTUS would make that call. Scalia wrote in a case where military folks sued officers in pay related case. Scalia stated plaintiff wasn’t suing the US Govt but rather official titled people within the US Govt.

Recent tests: families of 9/11 attacks suing Saudi Arabia. Obama was against it because it opens door for foreign entities to sue US govt.

While MSM talking endlessly about Putin-Trump sleepover in DC, collusion, Congress is quietly passing NOPEC. It’s out of committee. Should be voted on this summer. Nothing new. Identical language when bill was offered to Obama and Bush.

NOPEC changes anti-monopoly law to make it illegal for OPEC to price fix oil prices by limiting supply.

This fits Trump’s wheelhouse for free fair trade deal. As US increases oil production, it may be moot point. US increased exportation of crude will regulate global oil prices. If EU has source outside Russian and Iran, further pressure on OPEC.

Expanded thinking: if sovereign immunity is challenged, Dems states could sue POTUS. Russia could sue US for 12 indicted Russian military hackers. Add Palestinians, any government funded by Soros.

Sounds crazy but lot of hatred towards POTUS, lot of fear among swamp dwellers. Question: if bill makes it to the WH, does Trump sign it? Catch22. Vote will be prior to midterms. If he vetos, Trump in bed with SA, Russia, rich oil company, against middle class struggling…. if he signs, could open his administration to costly BS lawsuits, challenges, political games….long term harm to US…
