Tom DeLonge unsurprisingly thinks that the strange drone sightings in New Jersey are UFO-related
December 16, 2024
Blink-182 guitarist and UFO enthusiast Tom DeLonge has offered his theories on the mysterious “drone” sightings in New Jersey.
Over the past few weeks, New Jersey residents have been scratching their heads and looking skyward as reports of unusual drone activity have flooded in.
Described as larger than your average hobbyist drone — some even the size of SUVs — the drones have been spotted near sensitive sites like military bases and high-profile properties.
This has led to a flurry of theories ranging from benign explanations to more alarming speculations about foreign surveillance or even extraterrestrial activity.
In a new Instagram post, DeLonge shares his thoughts on the strange sightings, noting how the “drones that are being discussed can hover for six hours, and then disappear once they are spotted.”
“This is why it’s been hard to get facts from any US Agency. Some of them can even move into the ocean, and then back up to the air. Which is called ‘transmedium travel.’ A very hard thing to do.”
DeLonge, who made his directorial debut with the UFO conspiracy film Monsters of California last year, also compares the recent sightings to mass UFO reports from the 60s, writing: “It seems like it’s a repeat of exactly what happened in the ‘60s.”
“There is a good chance that these things could potentially be ‘mimicking’ other aircraft, and this even happened more recently in situations at Skinwalker Ranch years ago when it was being studied by the US Gov under BAAS and AATIP.”
He continues: “It’s all something to consider, and although we don’t have all the facts yet, we do know that UFOs play with ‘mimicry’ and that has been known for quite some time.
Why? To get us to notice them without a major freak out? Who knows… but well, we are noticing nonetheless.”

The Alien Card: Wernher von Braun's Warning, UFO Phenomena, Mars Exploration, and the Human Response
Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 10:13:30a PST
Decades ago, Wernher von Braun, a central figure in modern rocketry, allegedly provided a disturbing prophecy.
According to his colleague, Dr. Carol Rosin, he believed governments would create and exploit a succession of fear-based narratives from the threat of communism and terrorism to the dangers posed by rogue states and incoming asteroids — All eventually giving way to what he called the "alien card."
In that final scenario, an extraterrestrial menace would be fabricated to justify intensified global militarization and concentrated authority.
In recent weeks, reports have emerged of strange aerial phenomena — Different luminous orbs in New Jersey, for example, and strange sounds-that renew the freshness of these ideas.
Many such sightings are potentially anecdotes, but social media and online forums are full of discussions and eyewitness accounts of objects apparently behaving in ways no known aircraft can, sometimes with strange humming or buzzing tones.
While not every report gets substantiated, the broader shift in the public's attitude toward UFOs is undeniable.
The U.S. government declassifying certain UFO footage and creating the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) lent further legitimacy to the conversation, moving it from fringe speculation into more mainstream discourse.
Meanwhile, interest in Mars keeps on growing. NASA's findings of vestiges of water and geological formations that look quite promising continue to feed the dream of finding any sign of life beyond Earth.
SpaceX seriously discusses logistics for the habitats of humans on the Red Planet. The very confirmation of even microbial life would send shockwaves to how we view ourselves.
It could prove life is not unique to Earth and force us to reassess long-held assumptions about biology and the cosmos.
It's this interplay — The contrarian cautionary tale by von Braun, the continued reporting of strange lights in our skies, and the quite real possibility of life on Mars — Pushing us to assess what tales we choose to believe.
If framed as monstrous dangers, humanity might respond with paranoia, weaponry, and isolationism.
But if approached as mysteries with curiosity, humility, and a commitment to knowledge, we might find ourselves at the threshold of a new era of scientific and cultural renaissance.
Religious and spiritual traditions would also come to a crossroads. Faiths that center humans within creation may find themselves needing to revise their understanding in light of extraterrestrial life.
However, many religious traditions, from Christianity and Islam to Hinduism, have conceptual frameworks that are elastic enough to accommodate a universe bursting with life.
Even Pope Francis has hinted that aliens from other planets would also be part of God and the divine creation, thus encouraging a view to invite inclusion rather than fear.
Popular culture already prepares us for these possibilities: science fiction novels, films, and television have long explored such scenarios.
The question is how we as an international community will react if the boundary between speculation and reality is blurred.
Will we allow ourselves to be guided by fear-laden stories, or will we opt for openness and cooperation?
In the end, it's not about aliens or asteroids, von Braun warned — Which is to say, this has always been about us, and our capacity for judgment.
Confronted today by enigmas in the atmosphere and between worlds, our response might mark an era: defined on the one hand by paranoia and authoritarian overreach; defined, on the other hand, by inquiry, common understanding, and renewed awe.

Mysterious Drone Sightings Across US Linked To Project Blue Beam Conspiracy Theory
Dec 16, 2024 13:58 pm IST
A host of conspiracy theories have emerged as mysterious drones are spotted in various parts of the US.
The sightings first began in November near Morris County, New Jersey but have since spread to Massachusetts, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York among other states.
While the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US government term these sightings as non-threatening, social media users have connected the spotting to the decades-old conspiracy theory called Project Blue Beam.
Proposed by Canadian journalist Serge Monast in the 1990s, Project Blue Beam alleges that the global elites' are planning to stage fake supernatural events or alien invasions in a covert operation to establish a totalitarian world government.
Those adhering to the conspiracy believe that advanced holographic technology would be used to project images of religious figures or extraterrestrial invasions in the sky.
The theory also posits that the entire exercise is aimed at manipulating human thoughts which creates the illusion of direct communication with deities to justify authoritarian control.
Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, infamous for his comments on the Sandy Hook shooting, posted about Project Blue Beam by sharing an interview with ufologist Steven Greer about "how Project Blue Beam will be used."
Trump reacts to sightings
President-elect Donald Trump recently chimed in on the issue by suggesting that the mysterious drones should be shot down promptly.
"Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government's knowledge?
I don't think so," Mr Trump said in a post on Truth Social, a social media platform owned by him.
"Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!! DJT," he added.

MAGA Unleashes Its Wildest New Jersey Drone Conspiracies
Updated Dec. 15 2024 8:41PM EST /
A government PSYOP. An alien landing. A foreign military threat. A complete hoax.
As a swarm of East Coast residents continue to report drone sightings in the night sky, a number of conspiracy theories, spread by right-wing pundits and influencers, have erupted online in response to the mysterious phenomenon.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the first drone sighting occurred on Nov. 18 near Morris County, New Jersey, and sightings have since been reported in five other states including New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
In a joint statement Thursday, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security said that there is “no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or public safety threat or have a foreign nexus.”
However, some internet sleuths are convinced that there’s a secret, sinister plot at play—while others are latching onto more outlandish theories.
Comedian Roseanne Barr stepped off the deep end by connecting the sightings to a conspiracy championed by Infowars founder Alex Jones called “Project Blue Beam.”
The decades-old conspiracy posits that the government will stage a fake alien invasion as a way to create mass panic and institute authoritarian controls over society.
Jones and others have argued that the staged events will occur in phases—with the government beginning by using holograms to trick the American people.
Barr, for her part, seems to believe the mystery drones above New Jersey and the eastern seaboard represent the beginning of this bogus plot.
“Now you see why I mention Project Blue Beam every week on my podcast,” the comedian wrote on X on Saturday.
Jones also vouched for the accuracy of Project Blue Beam last week.
The longtime right-wing conspiracist welcomed ufologist and retired physician Dr. Steven Greer onto his Infowars show to discuss the phenomenon.
“They all have this agenda to want to control the world through one calamity after the other, and the big one they’ve been planning is the hoax of an alien threat from outer space,” Greer said.
Georgia congresswoman and prolific conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Green, for her part, is also convinced that the government is aware of what’s going on—but is refusing to tell the nation about any of it.
In an X post published Saturday, Green wrote: “The government is in control of the drones and refuses to tell the American people what is going on. It really is that bad.”
On Sunday, Greene seemingly agreed with another X user who detailed their theory that the drones belonged to the U.S. military and were flying over highly populated areas as part of a training program for the next generation of drone warfare.
“I also think this could be true,” Green wrote in response. “However the government needs to come clean and tell the American people what is going on.
That’s the most infuriating part to me. The government lies and hides everything while the people have to pay for it all.”
The prospect of the aircraft being extraterrestrial in nature was also floated by Daily Wire commentator Matt Walsh over the weekend.
