As allegations emerge against former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) over her potential crimes while serving as vice chair of the January 6 Select Committee, President Donald Trump has warned that the disgraced ex-congresswoman “could be in a lot of trouble.”

Trump responded after a new report from House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) found that Cheney broke “numerous federal laws” while serving on the Democrats’ anti-Trump Jan. 6 Committee.

House Republicans are urging the FBI to investigate Cheney for infractions.

The allegations include witness tampering during the “investigation” of the Jan. 6, 2021, protests at the Capitol.

Trump shared the information on his Truth Social, writing:

“Liz Cheney could be in a lot of trouble based on the evidence obtained by the subcommittee, which states that ‘numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney, and these violations should be investigated by the FBI’.”

Trump thanked Loudermilk and Newsmax’s Greg Kelly for their digging.

According to Fox News, the report found that Cheney engaged in “potential criminal witness tampering” with Trump’s former White House aide, Cassidy Hutchinson.

Hutchinson was the “star witness” for the prosecution who claimed Trump had tried to overpower a Secret Service vehicle to head to the Capitol during the unrest.

She claimed that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of his vehicle to turn it around and had to be held back by Secret Service agents.

However, the allegations were debunked by the Secret Service.

In addition, Hutchinson’s false claim was exposed when it was found that she was nowhere near Trump’s motorcade at the time and had never traveled with the president in his vehicle.

Her fabricated claims became the center of the committee’s case against Trump.

Loudermilk found that Cheney was instrumental in convincing Hutchison to fire her counsel.

The report noted that Hutchinson was told to go with “the attorneys Representative Cheney suggested.”

Hutchinson then “sat for her fourth transcribed interview with the Select Committee under unusual circumstances” not afforded to other witnesses.

“It consisted of only four people: Representative Cheney, one attorney from the Select Committee, Hutchinson, and Hutchinson’s new counsel,” Loudermilk’s report said.

she has a thankless job and even seems to have somewhat of a conscience, unlike her predecessor, psaki, who seemed to get off on outright lying to the people
