Michigan employee Nathan Mahoney stabs company president, possible copycat of Thompson’s killing.
Nathan Mahoney, a 32-year-old employee of Anderson Express Inc., allegedly stabbed the company’s president, Erik Denslow, during a staff meeting in Muskegon, Michigan. The attack, which took place around 9:20 AM, shocked the company and the local community. After the stabbing, Mahoney fled but was apprehended 15 minutes later. He has been charged with assault with intent to murder and fleeing police.
Denslow, critically injured, underwent surgery and is expected to survive. While the motive is unclear, authorities are investigating whether the attack was influenced by the recent high-profile killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The alleged killer, Luigi Mangione, faces federal charges for Thompson’s death.
