freemasons, having been speculated as the continuation of the templars, also had one of the templar concepts follow them in rumor only, baphomet. baphomet, however was supposed to be a representation of nature as a whole. which btw is likely entirely false as some claim baphomet is an atbash cypher for sophia, the personification of wisdom in Hellenistic philosophy
