When Peter saw him, he asked, โ€œLord, what about him?โ€

Jesus answered, โ€œIf I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.โ€ Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, โ€œIf I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?โ€

This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

You speak what you do not understand and call it testimony.

Again, go and learn what this means, I desire mercy, not sacrifice.

I don't need to convince you of anything, Truth is simply Truth. Again, if I see a hungry child and give them half my sandwich, I didn't sacrifice. I loved them as myself and gave myself half the sandwich.

Jesus wept and felt compassion, loving others as Himself, He did not have pride in "self sacrifice".

You accuse me and project nonsense onto me.

John thought wrath was coming (โ€œWho warned you, you serpent's brood, to escape from the wrath to come?) and he testified he saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on Jesus. Jesus healed and forgave people. John sent some disciples to ask Jesus if He was the one to come, or should they expect someone else.
