Tech Question for Anons- I used to use a free program called Any Video Converter to download videos of interest to me (for use in a project that will benefit all of us), and also to make simple edits (like clipping, combining, etc.).
This past week, after a year and a half, Any Video Converter gave me a message saying that I would have to register and pay to use the service. I get it, they're in business, but after using it for so long I was hoping to avoid the charges and registration.
The truth is, I am completely broke at the moment, because finishing up our research project is my top priority right now.
I'm wondering if any of you has a suggestion for a free "video downloading" program that I should use, going forward?
My other option is to play the video I want and use a screen recorder, so I'll do that if I must. But it's time-consuming and I have only one rickety laptop, so I'd prefer to just download what I need in one fell swoop, if possible.
Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
