It's odd this came up tonight. I've gone on a brain tangent and the what ifs. I'm not saying what I postulate is real or even possible.

My brain can be a scary place.

What if the Earth is cyclically affected by a periodical comet?

Recall that last year scientists claimed the core of the earth had slowed or even stopped.

Now, what if a periodical comet came back to sort of jump start Earth into moving again (possibly magnetic in origin?).

Only each time the comet appears it changes Earth's rotation. Would account for supposed pole shift. The fact that really old maps have north and south opposite of today's maps.

And it would explain the DS reference and love of Comet ping pong.

Comet approaches, Earth moves one way, Comes back 20K years or so later and sends it turning opposite…so on and so forth.

>r how it titls the Earth without hitting it.

Maybe it has a very strong magnetic pull or something and it only has to get close??

I have no idea. My brain doesn't always provide details.
